A Chicago native who loved  and missed the incredible food that the Windy City had to offer. When relocating to Akron, I found myself visiting Chicago often to satisfy the cravings with all of my favorite foods. 

When traveling became too much, I started preparing some of those staple foods for my family and friends. As the demand for the Chicago style goodies grew (especially the rib tips), the decision to become a business owner ignited and Cookie’s BBQ was born.  The entrepreneurship journey began by attending programs, seminars, and networking events to learn the tools of becoming a business owner. Then, as I continued to connect with local business owners in the community, the support and confidence grew enough to take an idea and make it a reality.
